Preview and downloadChoose by current understanding: count ones, explain a group of ten, then extend the model or use a larger reference chart when its places are familiar.
Connect tens and ones with their written names.
Open this place-value preset →Use after the learner can explain a ten as ten ones.
Open this place-value preset →Use one, two or three tens with 1–9 ones. Explain each total from 11 through 39 using the value of a rod.
Open this place-value preset →Choose by current skills. Signed values and alternating operations need their own preparation; these presets are readiness suggestions, not curriculum requirements.
Use with a teacher after counting and adding two are secure. Starts are below twenty; later terms may reach thirty-three.
Open this sequence preset →Choose a preset after each included operation is familiar. These readiness suggestions are not curriculum requirements.
Use familiar additions and take-away facts; subtraction may swap the sampled operands to keep a nonnegative answer.
Open this mixed practice →Use after place value is secure. Align one-digit second operands with the ones column; this preset avoids carrying and borrowing.
Open this mixed practice →Read, draw and explain data
Choose by readiness. Read the key and axis units together before comparing values, and prepare fraction and ordered-data skills before probability or quartiles. These presets focus the activity; they do not state a curriculum requirement.
Use after axis intervals and category labels are familiar; a grid step may represent more than one.
Open this graph preset →State the number represented by one picture before finding a category total.
Open this graph preset →Look, say and explain
Choose a deck that fits the learner’s readiness, then use a small selection for discussion. Complete decks can span several sheets; generated time, number and money-amount cards can repeat values.
Use counting on or a known fact; the complete set includes adding zero.
Open this card preset →Connect each take-away with the part that remains.
Open this card preset →Distinguish the hands and check that the minute hand points to 12.
Open this card preset →Use after part–whole models are familiar. The complete set has 29 triangles, including zero and doubles.
Open this card preset →Related operations
Choose by readiness: connect parts and wholes before writing addition and subtraction families, and use equal groups or arrays before multiplication and division. Each preset states whether it controls the first operand or both addends.
Connect two additions and two subtractions with sums no greater than 10. Discuss why doubles repeat facts.
Open this fact family preset →The other addend can be any value from 1–9, so use this once sums through 12 are comfortable.
Open this fact family preset →Pairs and number patterns
Choose a familiar number range and explain complete pairs before relying on the ones digit. These presets depend on readiness; larger grids and word problems add reading and arithmetic demands.
Use counters to explain the pattern, including why zero is even.
Open this even and odd preset →Practice numbers to 50 once the learner can connect complete pairs with the final digit.
Open this even and odd preset →Try this after numbers to 75 are familiar. Read the odd-only or even-only instruction before coloring.
Open this even and odd preset →Positions and equal intervals
These links open focused settings, chosen by readiness rather than a single curriculum. Begin with familiar whole numbers; fractions, decimals and signed numbers require their own preparation.
Trace forward and backward from a familiar starting value.
Open this number line preset →Locate the first number, then draw the second move.
Open this number line preset →Use a leftward hop with a nonnegative result.
Open this number line preset →Parts and wholes
Start with a whole of 10, then move to 20 or larger values when the learner can explain how the parts combine. Three-part trees are an optional next step.

Number bonds
Find one missing part in two-part equations with a fixed whole from 5 to 100, six equation layouts and up to 30 problems.
Preview and download
Number bonds
Split a fixed whole from 5 to 100 into two or three parts, with a single missing child and an option to include or exclude zero.
Preview and downloadStart with familiar hours
Begin when the learner can distinguish the shorter hour hand from the longer minute hand. These links open four-clock practice with a focused minute pattern. At a half hour, check that the short hand sits between two numerals.
Find the hour while the minute hand points to 12.
Read four whole-hour clocks →Follow the hour hand halfway toward the next numeral.
Read four half-hour clocks →Start with whole hours and give the two hands different lengths.
Draw four whole-hour clocks →Learn the selected denominations first, then count their values. Start with a smaller set when real currency pictures are new.

Quick readiness checkChoose within 10 when small facts still need models or counting. Choose within 20 when the learner can make 10 and keep track of the leftover part, as in 8 + 7 = 10 + 5.
Ask for 6 + 3 and 7 + 2. If the learner can model or count on accurately, move to the within-20 set; otherwise begin with the within-10 activity.
Show 8 + 7. A learner ready for within-20 work can use a ten-frame, split 7 into 2 and 5, or explain another accurate strategy.
Use one range per page until the learner can solve and explain several sums without switching back to counting every object.
