Learning objective
What this activity builds
Practise counting, grouping and exchanging notes in an adult-led lesson.
Worked example
How should I count a collection?
Group equal denominations, find each subtotal, then combine them.
The answer key keeps denomination subtotals separate so an adult can check each step.
Teaching notes
Make the practice count
- Begin with a smaller set of familiar denominations.
- Read the large printed value rather than relying on colour or size.
- The drawings are schematic teaching art, not currency-recognition images.

Amounts use exact integer kobo and explicit ₦ labels. The 50k coin and ₦50 note remain visibly distinct; all sizes and colours are illustrative.
