Use only the information belonging to the fictional payment. Complete the payee, date and matching numerical and written amounts. The checks are conspicuously marked for practice and are not valid for payment; blank versions are unscored teaching templates.
Download the practice pages alone, or include a separate answer key or teacher model. Longer activities may use more than one page.
Customize this worksheetLearning objective
Represent one payment consistently using a date, payee, numerical amount and amount written in words.
Worked example
The numerical amount is $24.35; the written amount is Twenty-four and 35/100 dollars.
Both entries describe 24 whole dollars and 35 cents. The fraction 35/100 records the cent portion of a dollar. The payee field names Cedar Art Club rather than repeating the payer’s name.

Use fictional details for check practice. Name and address fields stay in this browser and the PDF you download; shared worksheet links leave them out. Compact blanks retain the page's Name, Score, Teacher and Date fields.
