Read each sign, solve the fact and move to the next item. Use a timer only when it supports the learner’s practice goal.
Download the practice pages alone, or include a separate answer key or teacher model. Longer activities may use more than one page.

Choose by the learner’s current skills. Mixing operations adds the task of recognizing a sign before choosing a method, even when the individual numbers are familiar.
The preview shows the first student page. Downloads contain the complete worksheet; the version with answers adds a separate key with matching problem positions. More spacious written-method practice may use several pages.
Learning objective
Build accurate recognition of familiar facts before adding a time goal.
Worked example
6 × 8 = 48 and 48 ÷ 8 = 6
The range describes fact numbers, so a product or dividend can be larger than the upper bound.
Teaching notes
For a multiplication and division worksheet without a time label, open the 25-problem preset on this page. It selects only × and ÷ with fact numbers from 1 through 12. Products and dividends can exceed 12: 7 × 8 = 56 and 56 ÷ 8 = 7 belong to the same fact family. Division questions have exact whole-number answers.
Use the first sheet to find facts that need a strategy, then ask the learner to explain one multiplication fact and its inverse division fact. Add timing only after the selected facts are accurate; the timer label is a practice option, not a required pace.
No. The preset opens the editable studio with 25 untimed multiplication and division problems. Download from the updated studio for that selection. The ready-made files above keep the original mixed-operation, 60-problem, three-minute edition.
Read the operation before calculating. For 56 ÷ 8, ask “Eight times what is 56?” Use an array or equal groups to connect the missing factor to the quotient, then return to the printed fact.
