Name the currency and read the amount. Explain its parts, then check the currency code and decomposition on the reference card.
8 cards on 2 pages in the default deck. The image shows its first page. Adding the reference set produces 4 PDF pages in total.
One to six pages use 4, 8 or 10 cards each. Selected currencies are represented when the deck is large enough; each card carries its own code.
The ready-made image shows page 1; each PDF contains the full deck. Cards with references adds a separate complete set with answers or annotations. These are not mirrored duplex backs and make no front/back alignment promise. Print at actual size and cut along the optional guides.
Customize this deckFixed decks keep every card when density changes. Ordered fixed decks ignore the seed; choose Shuffled to use the seed for a different order. Time, number and money-amount decks generate a count from pages × density and can contain repeats.
Learning objective
Read an amount with its currency and explain its whole and fractional parts.
Worked example
12 U.S. dollars and 50 cents.
The whole part gives dollars and the two decimal digits give hundredths of a dollar. The currency code identifies the unit.
Teaching notes
Make it yours
Choose your options and review every card page. Reference cards are a separate optional set.
Choose zero decimal places for ordinary whole-yen notation. Two-decimal JPY cards are decimal-reading exercises, not usual fractional-yen prices. No currency conversion is performed.
The preview shows the complete set for the selected role. Reference cards form a separate annotated set, not mirrored duplex backs. Density and paper determine the sheet layout.
