Choose a picture to connect
Print a fish, rocket, sailboat, butterfly or tree. Each original outline comes with 20 or 40 numbered dots and a separate completed model. Choose a picture below, or select Random picture in the customizer to let Math Sheet pick one for you.

Look, count and draw
Finish a picture with numbered dots
Some of the picture is already drawn. Start at 1 and connect each next number to add the missing lines. Stop at the last dot—there is no line back to 1. Choose 20 or 40 dots, then color the finished scene. The answer page shows the completed drawing.

What this activity builds
Maintain forward number order while connecting each numbered point exactly once.
Worked example
After connecting dot 8, which dot comes next?
Dot 9.
The path follows the counting sequence, so every line goes from the current number to the number one greater.
Teaching notes
Make the practice count
- Have the learner locate the next two numbers before drawing a line.
- Use the 1–20 path until visual scanning no longer interrupts the count sequence. Choose a familiar picture first. Outline mode draws the outside shape; Finish the picture mode adds missing lines to a partly drawn scene. In Finish the picture mode, stop at the last dot instead of returning to 1.
