Ready-made English PDFs are available in Letter and A4, with student-only and separate-answer options. The image previews show the first page; downloads include every page.

Use the generator to change the available question settings, paper, language, teacher note or seed. Tables offer three or six problems. Equivalent rows let you change order and gaps independently.

Learning objective

What this activity builds

Recognize equivalent multiplicative relationships in contextual data, even when the quantities differ.

Worked example

Mix A uses 2 scoops of concentrate and 6 scoops of water. Mix B uses 3 and 9. Mix C uses 4 and 10. Which pair has the same concentration ratio?

Mix A and Mix B: both have concentrate:water = 1:3.

2:6 and 3:9 both reduce to 1:3. Mix C reduces to 2:5, so it represents a different relationship even though its quantities are larger.

Teaching notes

Make the practice count

  • Read the column headings before comparing any numbers.
  • Check every candidate pair; visual similarity in the raw values is not enough.
  • Have learners annotate each row with its simplest ratio before choosing the pair.
  • The three-problem option is useful for discussion; the six-problem option gives another page of practice.
