Customize this worksheetLearning objective
Coordinate equivalent fractions across three terms while distinguishing addition from successive subtraction.
Worked example
Their values are 11/8 and 1/8 respectively.
Using eighths gives 6/8 + 4/8 + 1/8 = 11/8 for addition. For subtraction, 6/8 - 4/8 - 1/8 = 1/8. The fraction conversion is the same, but the operations produce different results.
