Division
Divisibility tests
Test whole numbers against the fixed set of divisors 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 9, recording every rule that the number satisfies.

For each number, test every divisor in the selected set. Write Yes if it gives a whole-number quotient with no remainder, and No otherwise.
Download the practice pages alone, or include a separate answer key or teacher model. Longer activities may use more than one page.
Customize this worksheetLearning objective
Evaluate a chosen set of candidate divisors using known rules, multiplication facts or exact division.
Worked example
4, 7 and 12.
The facts 4 × 21 = 84, 7 × 12 = 84 and 12 × 7 = 84 prove three exact divisions. Eight gives 10 remainder 4, so it is not a divisor of 84.
